Ingredients
- 30g of pre-soaked salangane nests prepared as per instruction for cooking preparation
- 1 Vietnamese black chicken
- 1 pack of Vietnamese traditional medicinal herbs
- 2 bowls of mineral water
- 3 pieces of mandarin peel
- 1 teaspoon of soup seasoning powder
- A handful of wormwood
Recipe
- Soak mandarin peel in water till they are soft
- Disembowel chicken and keep it dry after washing
- Boil water with mandarin peel, put the chicken in for a while and take it out and keep it dry
- Put 2 bowls of mineral water in steam cooker, add Vietnamese traditional medicinal herbs, and add the chicken in, then cook the mixture for about 1 hour
- Stir occasionally the chicken
- After 1 hour of cooking or when the chicken is cooked through, put the mixture in a ceramic pot, then add seasonings and prepared salanganes’nest.
- Steam 1 more hour
- Turn off the steam cooker, add wormwood in
- Keep the dish in the pot, serve hot.
